The DART-MX93 module is part of the VARISCITE DART Pin2Pin family and is a rugged, cost-optimised solution for machine learning on edge devices, suitable for industrial applications, IoT, smart devices and wearables. Measuring just 55x30mm, it is half the size of a bank card.

NXP’s i.MX93 Processor

Like the VAR-SOM-MX93, released in 2023, the DART-MX93 is built with NXP’s i.MX93 processor. With up to 1.7GHz Dual Cortex™-A55 and 250MHz Cortex-M33 real-time co-processor and equipped with the ARM® neural processing unit, the DART-MX93 is designed for supporting machine learning (ML) applications at the edge.

Multiple Functions and Connectivity Options

The SOM provides a 2xCAN bus, 2xGbE and numerous features and connectivity options for sophisticated devices: camera inputs, audio in/out, ADC, 2x USB, certified Wi-Fi6 dual-band 802.11 ax/ac/a/b/g/n with optional 802.15.4, BT/BLE 5.3 and LVDS display outputs. Its built-in security function ensures that sensitive data and applications are protected.

The new DART-MX93 is part of VARISCITE’s longevity plan and is projected to be available to customers for the next 15 years. As part of the DART Pin2Pin family, it is also possible to upgrade to future generations of DART SOMs.

The DART-MX93 SOM is available and DART-MX93 evaluation kits, including the scalable VAR-DT8MCustomBoard and an optional LVDS display with touch panel, are also offered.
