Detector/Reset ICs
To Monitor the Operating Voltage
In modern circuits, it is still very important for the operating voltage to be monitored. To do this there are what are referred to as detectors, or also Reset ICs.
Detectors/Reset ICs are in most cases very simple modules, which compare two analog voltage states, and issue a digital high or low signal.
This output signal can be selected as active High or Low. If the module provides this function only, then it is known as a Detector IC. If the function is extended by more complex functions, then we tend to speak of a Reset IC.

Reset ICs accordingly in most cases have the possibility of setting what is referred to as the Delay Time, digital or analog. The duration of the High/Low signal can also be adjusted after the recognition. A further step would then also be the possibility of a permanent switch-off or also of automatic restart after a specific sequence. In any event, there are the most widely differing possibilities available in this situation, which can fulfil almost any wish the user might have.
