Signature Recognition for All Three IEEE PoE Standards
The Ag6810 from SILVERTEL is a single-channel PSE module fully compliant with the IEEE802.3.bt standard and backward compatible with IEEE802.3.af and IEEE802.3.at standards. It integrates signature recognition and power delivery for all three IEEE PoE standards (PoE, PoE+, and PoE++), covering a power range from 15.4W to 95W. In PoE++ systems, the module delivers power over all pairs.

The Ag6810 is a surface-mountable module featuring the proven “Golden Blocks” design, already known from the recently introduced PD modules Ag9900-LPB, Ag5700-LPB, and Ag59600-LPB. It is available in trays or tape-and-reel packaging, perfectly suited for automated SMT assembly. The interconnect format ensures efficient thermal coupling between the module and the host PCB. With a high efficiency of ≥98%, energy losses are minimised. Integration is fast and straightforward, as only a few external components are needed for configuration.
The Ag6810 supports dual signature recognition and control, essential for compliance with the PoE++ standard, allowing the PoE negotiation process to be initiated and controlled. As a result, it can power two PoE+ (IEEE802.3at) PDs (Powered Devices) simultaneously, enabling one PSE module to serve two PD ports. The power output can be easily limited via hardware configuration, ensuring that the PSE delivers only the requested maximum power to the connected PDs.
