Amphenol CS introduces a new family of interchangeable USB Type-C connectors for USB4 (Gen 3). These solutions are designed as robust, high-performance interfaces for next-generation systems and are based on a compression-fit connector concept. This approach reduces mechanical stress, protects the PCBA, improves alignment tolerance, and enables fast, flexible integration into PCB-mounted connectors as well as other high-speed Type-C applications.
Variants and Versions
The product portfolio includes screw-fastened versions, clip modules and screwless versions.

Screw-Fastened Version
The PCB-mounted connector with screw fastening enables quick installation and easy replacement, as it is mounted directly onto the PCB. The central height can be individually adjusted to meet a wide range of mechanical design requirements.
Clip Module
A unique latch mechanism, combined with a screw and guide pin, ensures a secure fit and precise alignment during PCB mounting and assembly. The clip module is a quickly replaceable USB Type-C module designed for fast and intuitive replacement of defective connectors. This helps reduce downtime and improves serviceability.
Screwless Version
A twist-lock mechanism secures the USB Type-C module directly onto the PCB while ensuring a firm mechanical hold. The screwless solution is designed for fast, tool-free replacement and can significantly reduce maintenance time.
