In the future, high-voltage PMLCAPs could be nearly 50% smaller than today's film capacitors with equivalent specifications. This significant reduction in size is attributed to the difference in dielectric constants between film capacitors using PP (Polypropylene) with a range of 2.1-2.2K, and PMLCAPs utilising Acrylic with a higher value of 2.9K.
