Safe and Space-Saving Connections with Series S-LINX 1.27D
STOCKOs New Connection Solution to PCBs
The S-LINX 1.27D series from STOCKO is a compact wire-to-board connector system with a pitch of 1.27mm, which is suitable for direct connection to printed circuit boards (PCBs). The system was specially developed for LED lighting as well as sensor and control module contacts and impresses with its high level of safety, reliability, and ease of processing.
Focus on Safety
When developing the S-LINX series, STOCKO placed particular emphasis on a high level of safety:
- Double insulation displacement connectors guarantee an electrically and mechanically stable connection between conductor and contact.
- KOSHIRI safety is achieved through correct PCB design and/or polarization and coding.
- Even an active interlock between the connector and the PCB is provided.
- the material of the connector cover and housing, which is glow-wire resistant to GWT 750°C in accordance with IEC 60335-1, UL 94V-0 and fulfil high fire protection requirements.
Technical Features
The S-LINX 1.27D connector system is suitable for cable cross-sections from 0.22 to 0.35mm² (AWG 24–22) and can be used with both single conductors and flat ribbon cables. The system is designed for FR4 PCBs)
The single connector can be used as an end connector or as a bus connector (daisy chain) for looping through signals or currents with discrete wires or ribbon cables. The connector contacts on both sides, top side and bottom side, classically HAL tinned contact pads on FR4 PCBs.
Assembly Technology
Another advantage of S-LINX 1.27D is the simple installation and contacting of the conductor by closing the pre-assembled cover.
The appropriate processing technology is also available:
- WZ 63 hand tool with WK/P-S-LINX 1.27 D tool head for prototypes and small series
- WT400 semi-automatic tool or WK/P-S-LINX 1.27 D tool head in combination with WA30 adapter for use on standard automatic crimping machines in series production
