The xPico 600 supports dual-band Wi-Fi6 (802.11ax) in the 2.4- and 5GHz bands as well as integrated 10/100BASE-T Ethernet. Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4 provides additional connectivity for sensors, peripherals and mobile devices. This makes the module well suited for applications where different communication interfaces need to be combined in a compact form factor.
Security Built Into the Module Design
For connected industrial and IoT devices, security needs to be considered from the early stages of development. LANTRONIX InfiniShield integrates numerous security features directly at the module level. These include:
- Secure Boot, Secure Firmware-Over-The-Air (FOTA) Updates
- Secure Key Storage, Encrypted Configuration
- Secure Connections with SSL/TLS, HTTPS
- Software Controlled Network Service Ports Enable/Disable
- Role Based Access Control
Additional security and authentication algorithms include:
- AES/CCMP and TKIP encryption, WPA/WPA2 Personal
- WPA3 Enterprise (EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, EAP-PEAP, EAP-FAST)
- SSLv3/TLS 1.3 with PKI and X.509 Certificates (up to 4096-bit Keys)
- AES Algorithm: 256-bit, 192-bit, 128-bit
The solution goes beyond the hardware itself, the xPico 600 can be integrated with the LANTRONIX Percepxion cloud platform. This enables connected devices to be centrally managed, firmware updates deployed, and telemetry and sensor data collected.
