With the introduction of the PPV series, RUBYCON expands its portfolio of hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors, offering a powerful alternative to the proven PSV series. The PPV series combines ultra-low ESR with high thermal stability and extended service life – making it ideal for applications that demand high ripple current capability and compact design.

Extended Lifespan and High Power Density
Compared to the PSV series, the PPV series offers an extended lifespan of 1000 additional hours at 135°C - without increasing the component size. It is also designed to withstand even higher ripple currents, making it an excellent choice for thermally demanding and space-constrained applications with high power density requirements.
Next Generation Already in Development
RUBYCON is currently developing additional PPV models with expanded capacitance values in larger package sizes - such as up to 560µF at 25V and 150µF at 63V. These variants are currently in the validation phase and are scheduled for mass production by the end of 2025. The new models will feature even higher ripple current ratings and further reduced ESR, making them ideal for applications requiring maximum reliability and thermal performance.
